TryAIForBiz compares AI and automation software for US small businesses. Our readers use these pages to spend real money, so this page explains exactly how we put a guide together, how we handle prices, and what we do when we get something wrong.
How we choose what to cover
We start from questions small business owners actually ask: which tool answers the phone, which CRM is affordable for three people, whether Zapier or Make is cheaper for a given workflow. We focus on tools a business with 1 to 20 people can sign up for without an enterprise sales process, and we include free options whenever they exist.
How we check prices and features
- Official pricing pages first. Every price comes from the vendor’s own pricing page, which we link in the Sources section of the article.
- We date our checks. Each guide shows a “Last updated” date: the day prices were last verified.
- We say when a price isn’t public. Some vendors only quote through sales. We say so instead of guessing, and we label third-party estimates as estimates.
- We show the real cost, not the headline price. Where it matters, we work through an example (a three-person team, 120 calls a month) using per-seat prices, overage rates and add-ons, so you can see what you’d actually pay.
- “Approx.” means approximate. Prices change, promotions come and go, and taxes vary. Always confirm on the vendor’s site before you buy.
What we don’t do
- We don’t publish invented reviews, testimonials or star ratings.
- We don’t quote statistics we can’t link to a source.
- We don’t accept payment to rank a product higher or to be included in a comparison.
- We don’t claim hands-on testing we haven’t done. When a section is based on vendor documentation and pricing pages, that’s what we say.
How we use AI
This is a site about AI tools, and we use them ourselves to help with research, outlines and editing. Every price, plan name and factual claim is checked against the source before publishing, and a person decides what goes on the page and is responsible for it.
Keeping guides up to date
Software pricing changes constantly, so we re-check our guides and update them when plans or prices change. When we update a guide we change its “Last updated” date and correct the comparison tables and worked examples, not just the text.
Corrections
If you spot an outdated price, a plan that no longer exists or any other error, email admin@tryaiforbiz.com with the page and what’s wrong. We check every report against the source and fix confirmed errors.
Advertising and affiliate links
The site may show ads and some links may be affiliate links, as explained in our Affiliate Disclosure. Neither affects which tools we recommend or how we rank them.
